Fortune made a tremendous
impact in our herd in the eleven years he was with us. He
was one of those rare bucks who made an improvement in all four
major categories of the score card, siring many permanent
champions and daughters classifying excellent. We had a
son of his, Nubilop Acres Passionate Lover,
who we have retained two daughters out of, both of them yearling
milkers in 2009, as well as another son, Nubilop Acres DS Dominator,
that we have semen collected on.
Through these two bucks along with his daughters his legacy will
live on.

Hot
Shot has definitely made just as much of an impact in our herd as
one of our former herd sires, Regehrs Sassy's Fortune, who lived until the age of eleven years. These two bucks
have proven to work very well together and have produced many
permanent champions and daughters classifying EX. Hot Shot
has at least four daughters I know of that are permanent
champions, three carrying our herd name and another raised by
Cole Meador, a good friend of ours. Hot Shot has made
improvements in mammary system, general appearance and breed
character. There are a few times when I would like to see a
little wider rib spacing and looser skin, but only a few times.
He has also helped improve feet and legs in our herd. One
of his biggest assets is to have had the 2nd place Senior Get-Of-Sire
at the 2007 ADGA National Show in Gillette, WY consisting
of Scoobee Doo, Gigi, and
Piper Rose. In addition, he
also sired the 18th place Two Year-Old, 2nd place Four Year-Old, and 8th place
Five Year-Old. Our
initial attempt to collect semen on Hot Shot a couple years ago
failed, but we were very fortunate to get 300+ straws on him
this last fall and do have semen available for sale.

Poetic Justice
(PJ), I felt was an excellent addition to our herd. However, we
had him such a short time. We feel very fortunate to have three
daughters and a junior herd sire, sired by him, in addition to
having been able to have semen collected. He had beautiful breed
character that is very evident in his offspring. His dam,
Pukahani, classified EX91 as a four
year-old.
