Hot
Shot has definitely made just as much of an impact in our herd as
one of our former herd sires, Regehrs Sassy's Fortune
did, who lived until the age of eleven years. These two bucks
have proven to work very well together and have produced many
permanent champions and daughters classifying EX. Hot Shot
has at least four daughters I know of that are permanent
champions, three carrying our herd name and another raised by
Cole Meador, a good friend of ours. Hot Shot has made
improvements in mammary system, general appearance and breed
character. There are a few times when I would like to see a
little wider rib spacing and looser skin, but only a few times.
He has also helped improve feet and legs in our herd. One
of his biggest assets is to have had the 2nd place Senior Get-Of-Sire
at the 2007 ADGA National Show in Gillette, WY consisting
of Scoobee Doo, Gigi, and Piper Rose. In addition, he
also sired the 18th place Two Year-Old, 2nd place Four Year-Old, and 8th place
Five Year-Old. Our
initial attempt to collect semen on Hot Shot a couple years ago
failed, but we were very fortunate to get 300+ straws on him
this last fall and do have semen available for sale.

Foxxy's
Sly Fox
Sly Fox's
dam excels in dairy character with a very nice mammary system classifying
Excellent (see Reference pages). His granddam on his sire's side, Scoobee
Doo, classified EX92 as a six year-old with a socked on mammary
system and lots of milk production behind her. Sly Fox himself, also
excels in dairy character with a very open escutcheon area. He had
quite a set back this last spring when he developed pneumonia and lost over
25 pounds. Since then he has gained 40 pounds back and is filling out
nicely.
It has been years since we have shown any bucks and we decided
to take him to a buck show where he went Senior Champion. He will not
be breeding any of our mature does, but will be breeding some of our younger
does so we will at least get a chance to see some of his kids. This is
a buck that we did not want to push too hard this breeding season as we
would like to see him get good and strong before using him too heavily.

Gi's Way
Too Hot
Way
Too Hot was a planned breeding in the event that if something
were to happen to Hot Shot and we were unable to have
Hot Shot
collected, that we would have a son of his that was very tightly
bred that would hopefully produce offspring as nice as Hot Shot
has done. Luckily,
we were able to get Hot Shot collected,
but as it ends up we sure are glad we have Way Too Hot.
I really like the style of this young guy, the length of body,
his length of rump, levelness of topline, and open escutcheon
area. He has a very strong pedigree behind him with both his
sire and dam classifying Excellent. We have his first
daughter from this last May that was shown once winning her
class - a very stylish doe, level, with very pretty breed
character. She is probably one of our nicest 2008
doelings, very comparable to Peachy Blossom.

Poetic Justice
(PJ) should be an excellent addition to our herd being similarly
bred on his sire's side when compared to Hot Shot. After
knowing the pedigree and seeing a picture of his dam, Pukahani,
I knew that this was a buck that we would like to introduce into
our herd. PJ reminds me a lot of Way To
Hot, that same
beautiful breed character, that levelness of topline, a
beautiful rump, and a very high and rounded escutcheon
area. Way Too Hot and PJ are penned side by side and as I
look at the two and compare them, there are a lot of
similarities. PJ's dam, Pukahani, classified EX91 as a four
year-old this past spring. Thank you Adel for giving us
the opportunity to put PJ to work in our herd.
